Wraith lined a corner of the shack with moist moss and continued collecting food and piling it upon the moss. Occasionally it would come across nuts and seeds fallen from trees or dropped by a scurrying rodent hurrying home before the dark, these were placed into another crude bowl, this one wooden, and placed upon the high end of the shelf.
During the collecting the Wraith spotted several small nests in amongst the bracken and in small bowers amongst the ferns. When the Wraith had finished its mushroom, fern bud, and berry gathering it headed back to each of the nests and took a few eggs from each nest and placed them with the three in the bowl.  When all this was done the Wraith looked at the sky to try and gauge the time, and was startled to see the sun had passed its zenith. The last thing the Wraith had to do for the day was fill the water containers then it could have something to eat and rest its throbbing leg, which had begun to weep again. It shambled down to the stream and filled the container and then returned it to the shack, it repeated this six times. Sitting in the sun outside the entrance to the shack it considered the wound on its leg, it decided that it had better try and get it better, or it would be crippled for life, if not loose the leg entirely.
It moved to a stream with a sandy bed and crouched down beside it, where it cleaned the wound out with the clean water and sand, making sure to remove all the pus and suppurating flesh that could be withdrawn. Painful though this was the Wraith reflected that the wound looked better already, more pinky-red than green now it thought. It headed onto the top of the mound and gathered large leaves from the dock plant and dandelion heads. It took these back down to the entrance of the shack and went down to a stream and gathered handfuls of the clay mud and thick moss that grew there. It went inside and grabbed a chipped pewter bowl and grinding stone and poured water into the base of the bowl, added the dock leaves and dandelion heads and made a green mash to which it added the mud. This was applied to the leg wound and covered with the wet moss. The Wraith ripped off a part of its rags and secured it around the poultice. With this done the Wraith went and sat in the sun again, feeling that the leg wasn’t quite so sore now.

Aww the poor Wraith. I hope it's leg gets better!! I still haven't gotten around to reading the whole of your story, sorry. Sister has suddenly become obsessed with roleplaying so I don't get much of a look in.
